About
Hi, I'm JD.
I work at the intersection of enterprise, technology, and place, designing redemptive futures for people and cities the world often overlooks.

I am the Co-founder and CEO of Ennovate Lab, where we are strengthening the economic and institutional architecture of Ogbomoso as a working model for what secondary cities across Africa can become. Our approach integrates patient capital, ecosystem design, enterprise development, and placemaking, not as theory, but as long-horizon execution.
I chose Ogbomoso deliberately.
Africa's future will not be secured in capital cities alone. It will emerge from disciplined leadership within secondary cities capable of institutional depth and economic imagination. Ogbomoso is our laboratory. The commitment is generational.
Beyond Ennovate Lab, I steward The Place Collective, a network of leaders committed to the renewal of specific places over extended periods of time. What began as conviction has matured into a movement of people choosing rooted responsibility over perpetual relocation.
Over the past decade, I have advised founders, institutions, and ecosystem leaders across sectors, contributing to strategy, institutional formation, and leadership architecture. My work sits where vision meets execution, and where ambition must be translated into structures that endure.
In 2025, we commissioned The Assembly, the first purpose-built innovation park in Ogbomoso, now serving as a convergence point for enterprise, technology, and disciplined creative ambition.
Alongside my institutional work, I write and coach.

Join the CommunityMy work on The Art of Asking Questions distills more than two decades of disciplined inquiry into a practical framework for decision-making, leadership, and intellectual leverage.
Explore the FrameworkFrom time to time, I work directly with founders, investors, civic leaders, and organizations stewarding complex opportunities, particularly where place, strategy, and long-term impact intersect. These engagements are selective and conversation-driven.
Request a SessionIf you are responsible for something that matters — a company, a city initiative, an institution, or a generational idea — there are ways we can think together.
I am married to Temitayo, and together we are raising four children. For me, legacy is generational.
